The next night, Amy walked out of the barn and sniffed the air, “Ugh!Smells like…”She didn’t finish her sentence. She opened the door and ran to the horse screaming as she fell to her knees crying! The horse was dead!!!She looked around to see if anything got in that would kill her horse. Then she stopped.Just then, Amy heard a scary snarl from a werewolf. She jumped to her feet, screamed and started running down the street into town, hopefully finding a store to hide in.She stopped at an alley, a dark eerie alley, and turned to see if the werewolf was still there.Amy held her breathe.Suddenly, the wolf ran at her.The alley was so dark, she couldn’t see. However, she could hear the slobbering snarl.Amy felt around for something to hold on to.Finally, she touched a chain-linked fence. She grabbed on to it and climbed to the top like a monkey would do.Once again, she felt around. Her arm made contact with the roof of a house.Surprisingly, there was a lighter in her reach. This would provide the light she needed so desperately.
The werewolf continued to shake the fence, jumping up and down.Amy lit the lighter.Looking into the wolf’s viscous eyes, his barking didn’t seem scary anymore. It sounded like a painful cry.She saw a knife jutting out of his side with a great amount of blood oozing from his body.Amy began to feel bad for this poor animal.Courageously, she bent down with the lighter and reached for the knife. With all her might, she tugged on the blade. The wolf, barking in pain from the knife, made the girl tear up.It finally slid out of his side.
Amazingly, the big ferocious werewolf’s cold blue eyes change to a soft light brown. All of a sudden, he started shrinking down to a smaller dog.Amy could see flashes of light, as if though there was a violent lightning storm going on.Through the flashes of light, it appeared that the werewolf was turning into a sweet little beagle. She extinguished the lighter in her hands.Amy dropped the lighter and jumped down from the fence and landed next to the beagle. She bent down and held out her hand to show the beagle that she meant him no harm.Amy checked his side for the bloody wound.Smoke swirled around the injury and POOF!The wound disappeared!Amy stared in amazement. The beagle licked her hand and walked into her arms.Amy hugged him and was sure to never let go.She stood up with him
